Spider Man 3 is an action sandbox style game developed by Treyarch and published by Activision. The game was released on PC, PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PlayStation Portable, Nintendo Ds and GameBoy Advance. Treyarch developed Spider Man 3 for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 only. PC version was developed by Beenox and for Nintendo; game was developed by Vicarious Visions. Spider Man 3 was released on 4 May, 2007. Special Collector’s Edition was also released on PlayStation Portable on 16 October, 2007. It is a video game remake of the film called by the same name. The game can be played in single player mode only.

Spider Man 3 has marked the return of all the pet enemies of Spider Man. Though Peter has finally fallen in love with Marry Jane’s this time but worries are not over for him. Kingpin has returned again, Harry Osborn won’t talk to him and Eddie Brook is bullying him. There is a New Goblin in the Spider Man 3. Spider Man also kills Sandman and then later on KingPin and Lizard using the new Black Suite. The whole story revolves around Black Suite. He realizes that black suite is doing something wrong with him and tries to take it off. Venom kinaps Marry Jane’s taking help from Sandman. At last Spider Man kills Venom and returns back to the Marry Jane’s.

Compared to earlier games of the series, Spider Man 3 was revamped with new game elements. The gameplay remains the same but playing the game this time is more entertaining. The plot for the Spider Man 3 is set in the Manhattan which is much-much big now. Attacking power of spider Man has improved dramatically. Black suite is responsible for more brutal Spider Man. However this is just in the part of the game, otherwise spider man returns to normal. Spider Man has wide range of moves both ground and aerial. All the cinematic in the game are playable. If you are playing Spider Man 3 on Nintendo DS then you can use touch screen mode too. There are four unlockable characters in the game: Spider Man, Black suit, Scorpion and New Goblin.

As the game was adopted from the movie version of the Spider Man 3 so everything supposed to be same. But difference occurred at one stage- success. Video game adoption of the movie wasn’t as successful as the movie itself was. Yet it managed to got mixed reviews from the gaming industry. Ratings for spider Man 3 were very low on GameRankings. Versions produced included different features based on the platforms. PC version was criticized for high system requirements and frame speed mismatching.
