FIFA 09 is going to be the latest installment in the FIFA soccer series of video games produced by EA Sports, a sports games division of Electronic Arts. It will be the 16th installment in the main series and the successor to FIFA 08. The game will be releasing on October 14, 2008 in North America whereas European and Australian release will be around 10 days before the American release. FIFA 09 is ready to be launched for PC, PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, PSP, Nintendo Wii, DS, Xbox 360 and mobile phones. FIFA 09 demo for PC has just been released today. FIFA 09 will also be featuring an Adidas Live Season ranking system that shows the real world’s ranks of all the featured players based on their performance in real world football matches for the last season. There will be a new game mode for Xbox 360 version and PlayStation 3 version- FIFA 09 Clubs which players of all nations can join to compete against other clubs. There will be specially appointed club managers for the FIFA 09 Clubs mode. FIFA 09 will feature 500 teams including 40 national teams distributed in 30 leagues. There will be a special tournament mode in the PC version of the game. FIFA 09 features will vary highly over platforms it will be releasing on. FIFA 09 soundtrack will consist of total of 42 songs taken from 21 countries.
